Mark Kanter graduated from the University of Southern California in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance. After graduation, Mark began his real estate career as an investment real estate broker with Marcus & Millichap, specializing in the sale of multi-family and commercial real estate.

In 1992, as the Southern California real estate market was in the beginning of a recession, Mark left Marcus and Millichap and started Assessment Appeals Group (AAG), a property tax consulting firm specializing in representing property owners to contesting unfair property tax assessments. AAG was responsible for representing thousands of property owners in the recovery of tens of millions of dollars in overpaid property tax bills.

In 1997, Mark and his two other partners, Rick Macaya and Chris Renard, formed Commercial Realty Consultants, Inc. CRC is a commercial real estate finance firm which specializes in financing commercial properties across the U.S. In 2007, CRC arranged financing in excess of $1.1 billion. CRC acts in the capacity of a mortgage broker and banker for several correspondent relationships.

In addition to his background in various areas within the real estate field, Mark has been an active real estate investor since 1993, with real estate assets including apartments, medical office and retail properties in California, Arizona, Washington and Texas. Mark is also President of MBK Management, Inc. which manages his apartment portfolio throughout Los Angeles County.

 
 
 

Rick Macaya graduated from the University of Southern California in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance. During his senior year at USC, he began to work as an intern for the real estate investment firm Marcus and Millichap (M&M), where he began a full-time real estate career upon graduation. In 1992, he joined Assessment Appeals Group, specializing in property tax consulting for Investment Properties. In 1997, he and his current partners formed Commercial Realty Consultants, Inc.

Rick has achieved recognition for his diverse background in real estate, and as an investor, for his ability to identify and negotiate critical deal points for his clients. He has been licensed by the Department Of Real Estate since 1986, and has also served as project manager for the construction and rehabilitation of several multi-family projects. Rick currently manages his own real estate portfolio.

Brian Weisberg -

Chris Renard graduated from the University of California Los Angeles in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. After graduation he successfully owned and managed a chain of retail businesses, which were ultimately sold in 1995. At that time Chris joined Assessment Appeals Group representing clients in contesting unfair property tax assessments against regional assessor offices. In 1997, he and his current partners formed Commercial Realty Consultants, Inc.

Chris is well respected within the investment real estate community for his expertise and knowledge in commercial and multi-family lending.

Brian Weisberg joined Commercial Realty Consultants in 2001. He handles all types of commercial financing, with a focus in the multi-family residential area.

Brian earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Arizona State University in 1994, majoring in Accounting. While working in a public accounting firm in Arizona for 6 years, he earned his Certified Public Accountant designation.

Brian is involved in several civic and charitable organizations in Los Angeles. He is Vice Chair of the Leadership Pillar and he currently serves as Campaign Co-Chair of the Real Estate and Construction Division (REC) of the Jewish Federation. Additionally, Brian serves on the REC Executive Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation. Brian also currently serves as a Secretary of the Guardians, which supports the Jewish Home for the Aging.
